Quick facts

Earn automatically

Points accrue on subscription renewals and activation bundle purchases.

🎟️ Two redemption paths

Convert points to coupons (one-time) or to site credits (auto-applied to invoices).

💳 Stripe or PayPal

Coupons work for both; site credits are recommended for PayPal to reduce checkout friction.

🛡️ Good standing required

Fraud holds, disputes, or suspensions block redemptions until resolved.

Good Standing Required
Fraud holds, open disputes, or account suspensions pause all earning and redemption until resolved.
Cooldown Periods
Some bonuses have cooldown windows (e.g., referral bonuses once per 30 days) to prevent abuse.
Valid Payment Method
Payment failures or expired cards can pause automatic earning on renewals.
Active Subscription
Renewal bonuses require an active, auto-renewing subscription in good standing.

Eligibility checks

Payment Provider Differences

Critical: PayPal Subscription Limitations

Active PayPal subscriptions (auto-renew mode) cannot use credits or coupons on renewals. PayPal’s billing agreements lock in the payment amount when the subscription is created. Once a PayPal subscription is running, the renewal amount cannot be modified.

Solution: Enable PayPal Manual Payment Mode in Settings → Preferences  to use coupons and credits on renewals.

What this means:

  • ✅ Coupons and credits work at initial purchase (both modes)
  • ✅ Stripe subscriptions can auto-apply credits to renewals (if enabled in Settings)
  • ❌ PayPal auto-renew subscriptions cannot apply credits or coupons to renewals
  • ✅ PayPal manual payment mode allows credits and coupons on renewals

Full flexibility with credits:

  1. Enable Auto-Apply Credits to Renewals in Settings → Preferences → Billing & Credits
  2. Convert points to site credits on the Rewards page
  3. Credits automatically offset your next Stripe invoice before charging your card
  4. Works with saved payment methods - seamless and automatic

Coupons at purchase:

  • Apply coupon codes at initial checkout
  • Reduces the first payment amount
  • Cannot be applied to future renewals (use credits instead)

PayPal Subscriptions

PayPal has two payment modes, controlled via Settings → Preferences → Billing & Credits:

Auto-Renew Mode (Default):

  • ✅ Coupons and credits work at initial purchase
  • Cannot use coupons or credits on renewals
  • PayPal subscriptions lock in the payment amount when created—the billing agreement cannot be modified without canceling and recreating

Manual Payment Mode:

  • ✅ Coupons and credits work at initial purchase
  • Coupons and credits work on renewals
  • Each renewal is a one-time payment, allowing full discount flexibility
  • You’ll receive invoice reminders 7 days before expiration

Enable Manual Payment Mode:

  1. Go to Settings → Preferences → Billing & Credits
  2. Toggle PayPal Manual Payment Mode to ON
  3. New purchases and renewals will use manual payments instead of subscriptions

PayPal $0.01 Minimum Transaction

PayPal enforces a $0.01 minimum for all transactions. If your coupons and credits reduce an order to $0.00:

  • Stripe will process it at $0.00 (free)
  • PayPal will charge $0.01 (minimum enforced)

When you see a $0.00 total at checkout, you’ll see a notice explaining that PayPal requires $0.01 while Stripe processes it free. Choose Stripe if you want a truly free checkout after discounts.

Recommendation for PayPal users

Enable Manual Payment Mode if you want to use loyalty rewards on renewals. Alternatively, switch to Stripe subscriptions for automatic credit application with seamless auto-renewal.

Conversion path (in-app)

  1. Open Dashboard → Rewards.
  2. Check your points balance and good standing status.
  3. Pick a redemption path:
    • Create coupon: Enter points (e.g., 500 points = $5.00 coupon), generate a single-use code, apply at your next checkout. Expires in 30 days.
    • Convert to credits: Enter points (e.g., 500 points = $5.00 credits), adds to your site credits balance. Never expires. Auto-applies to Stripe renewals if enabled in Settings.
  4. Refresh to see the updated balance and your generated coupons.

FAQs

Points do not currently expire; coupons expire 30 days after creation. If point expiration policy changes, we will announce in-app and via email.
Not today. Each redemption creates one coupon. For flexible, partial use across multiple transactions, convert points to credits instead.
Match the in-app minimums configured for your account or promotion. Typically a minimum of 100 points ($1.00) is required.
Fraud, dispute, or suspension holds block redemptions until cleared. Your points balance is frozen but safe—you can redeem once good standing is restored.
Yes, for Stripe purchases and PayPal one-time purchases. Apply a coupon at checkout for an immediate discount, then credits auto-apply to reduce the remaining balance. However, PayPal active subscriptions cannot use either credits or coupons on renewals due to billing agreement restrictions.
Stripe processes $0.00 transactions normally—you pay nothing. PayPal enforces a $0.01 minimum for all transactions due to platform restrictions. At checkout, you'll see a notice explaining that PayPal requires $0.01 while Stripe is free. Choose your preferred payment method accordingly.
PayPal's billing agreements lock in the payment amount when the subscription is created. The agreement itself would need to be cancelled and recreated to change the amount, which would lose any promotional pricing you received initially and reset your billing cycle. This is a PayPal platform limitation.
Yes. Cancel your PayPal subscription, then repurchase with Stripe. Enable Auto-Apply Credits to Renewals in Settings → Preferences → Billing & Credits. Convert points to site credits on the Rewards page, and they'll automatically offset future Stripe invoices.
Expired coupons cannot be used. Check the Your Coupons section on the Rewards page to track expiration dates. Consider converting points to credits instead—they never expire.
No. Points convert to store credit or discount coupons only. They have no cash value and cannot be transferred or withdrawn.
Credits apply in your account currency; cross-currency redemptions are not supported.
Coupons must still be valid on a successful charge; credits remain in balance, but fraudulent or refunded activity can reverse points or credits.
No. Credits only offset future invoices or purchases in this account.
Yes! Coupons created from loyalty redemptions are shareable, but they're single-use only (one person total can redeem them). You have a choice: use the coupon yourself OR share it with someone else. If someone else uses your coupon, you earn a 50-point "Community Spirit" bonus as a thank you for being generous! You'll receive a notification when your shared coupon is used.
Community Spirit is a special loyalty bonus that rewards you for sharing coupons with the community instead of using them yourself. When you redeem points for a coupon and give it to someone else to use, you automatically earn 50 points as a thank you. This encourages community members to help each other save money. Remember: coupons are single-use, so sharing means you're choosing to let someone else benefit instead of yourself—that's true community spirit!

Do

  • Use Stripe subscriptions if you want credits to automatically offset renewals.
  • Enable "Auto-Apply Credits to Renewals" in Settings for seamless Stripe invoice offsets.
  • Convert points to credits instead of coupons if you prefer no expiration and flexible use.
  • Keep your account in good standing—clear disputes or holds before redeeming.
  • Check the "Your Coupons" section on the Rewards page to track expiration dates.
  • Apply coupons at initial purchase for both Stripe and PayPal for one-time discounts.

Don't

  • Don't expect PayPal subscription renewals to accept credits or coupons (billing agreement limitation).
  • Don't let coupons expire—use them within 30 days or convert points to credits instead.
  • Don't attempt redemptions while on fraud/dispute hold—it will be blocked.
  • Don't expect cash refunds from credits—they only offset invoices within your account.
  • Don't skip payment validity checks—invalid payment methods can pause point earning.
