QBXWatcher

QBXWatcher is the assistant that lives in the QuickBox.IO Discord server. It answers questions about QuickBox Pro, links your Discord account to your license, checks the health of your own servers on request, and guides new members through onboarding.

You do not install QBXWatcher. It runs on our Discord server, and everything below happens inside Discord.

Slash commands

Type / in any channel and Discord shows the command list. Every command is documented in the Command Reference. Most replies are private to you unless you pass a show option.

Mentioning it

Mention the bot with a help keyword and it opens the help browser for you:

The help keyword is recognised in every supported language, so hilfe, aide, ayuda, ajuda, and 帮助 work too.

Pasted CLI output is ignored

Lines that look like QuickBox CLI usage — qb help, qb —debug, and similar — do not trigger a mention response. You can paste terminal output into a thread without the bot jumping in.

Posting in a support forum

When you open a thread in one of the support forum channels, QBXWatcher greets it, tries to identify the app you are asking about, and posts what it found while you wait for a human. See Getting Help.

What verification unlocks

Anyone in the server can use the general commands. Commands that reach out to your server require the Verified role, because they act on credentials you supplied.

Verification is a two-minute conversation

Run /verify and QBXWatcher opens a DM, asks for the email or username you use at v3.quickbox.io, and emails you a short code. Full walkthrough in Verifying Your License.

Choosing your language

QBXWatcher replies in your language. By default it follows your Discord client language; run /language to pick one explicitly.

Help articles are English-only

Command replies, prompts, and buttons are translated. The application help topics the bot reads out are currently written in English only, and the bot says so when it shows one.

Privacy

Do

Link a server with /server add only if you want QBXWatcher to report on it
Use a read-only API key when linking — status commands never need write access
Keep replies private; most commands are private by default and only go public if you pass show
Use the hidden option to mask your hostname when you post output into a thread
Remove a server with /server remove when you decommission it

Don't

Do not paste an API key into a public channel — every credential prompt is a private modal or DM
Do not share show:true output that contains your hostname in a public thread
Do not leave QuickSupport enabled after a support session is finished
Do not assume the bot polls your server — it only reads when you run a command

QBXWatcher does not monitor your server on a schedule

It reads your server only when you run a command, and only against hosts you linked yourself. The one exception is the optional health alert you switch on yourself with /server alerts toggle:on, which sends you a DM.

FAQ

No. QBXWatcher runs on our Discord server. Status commands talk to the API your QuickBox dashboard already exposes, using a read key you provide when you link the server.

Discord privacy settings block DMs from server members by default in some configurations. Open the server menu, choose Privacy Settings, and turn on 'Allow direct messages from server members'. That setting affects only the QuickBox server. Then run /verify again.

No. Commands that touch your account or your server reply privately to you. Commands that support a 'show' option stay private unless you set show to true.

Answers come from the QuickBox knowledge base and this documentation site. The /ask command lists the sources it used and a confidence rating, so you can open the underlying page.

Verification runs in a DM once you start it with /verify in the server. Most other commands are run in the server so the bot can check your roles.

Report it with /bug-report submit, or say so in the thread — a human reads every support thread. Answers the bot posts in threads carry rating buttons so you can tell us the answer missed.
