club-QuickBox: The Default ruTorrent Skin, Rebuilt
If you run ruTorrent on QuickBox Pro, you already use club-QuickBox. It is the default skin on every install, and this is the biggest rework it has ever had. The whole client now reads as one design, the same look as your QuickBox dashboard, from the top bar to the last Settings page.
It is also free to use anywhere. club-QuickBox is released into the public domain, so you can drop it onto any ruTorrent, QuickBox or not, and use it however you like.
Four looks, and an Auto mode that follows your dashboard
club-QuickBox ships four color variants. Spectre is the default, a deep navy with a teal-to-green accent. Smoked is a darker slate with a blue accent. Reel is a warm charcoal with amber. Light is a near-white theme with blue, for anyone who prefers a bright UI.
| Spectre | Smoked |

| Reel | Light |
You pick a variant from an appearance selector in Settings, right beside the stock theme list. There is also an Auto mode, and this is the one most people will leave on. In Auto, club-QuickBox reads your QuickBox dashboard theme and matches it, and it re-checks when the ruTorrent tab comes back into focus. Change your theme in the dashboard in another tab, flip back to ruTorrent, and the skin has already followed, no reload needed.
A command palette, the way you expect one
Press Ctrl K anywhere in the client and a command palette opens. Start typing and it filters. From it you can add a torrent, start, pause, stop or remove the selected torrents, jump to Settings, switch variant, or search your torrents, all without reaching for the mouse.
Drag, drop, done
Dragging .torrent files onto the window brings up a full-window overlay, and dropping them adds them straight away. The Add Torrent dialog itself has been rebuilt as a clean card with its own drop zone, so whether you drag onto the page or open the dialog, adding a torrent feels the same.

Smart label icons, and a picker to set them
Your sidebar labels and trackers now carry themed glyphs instead of plain text rows, and you can choose the icon for a label yourself from a searchable picker. It is a small thing that makes a busy sidebar much faster to scan.
A Chunks tab you can actually read
The Chunks tab draws a canvas heatmap of piece completion, with a Downloaded or Seen toggle, so you can watch a transfer fill in piece by piece at a glance instead of squinting at a grid.
The General tab, now a real overview
Open the General tab on a torrent and you get a proper overview: a completion ring, transfer sparklines, a ratio gauge, and Swarm, Tracker and Storage cards. Everything you want to know about a torrent, laid out instead of listed.
Settings, selects and tooltips, cleaned up
Settings is now a grouped, filterable layout in a single scroll region, so finding a setting is a matter of typing a word rather than hunting through tabs. Every native dropdown in the client is replaced with a themed popover list, and a single token-styled tooltip replaces the browser default everywhere, so hover hints match the rest of the skin.
Media Info, formatted
When you run Media Info on a file, the task console parses the output into readable section cards, with a Formatted or Raw switch if you want the plain text back.
Getting it
On a new QuickBox Pro install club-QuickBox is already there, installed and set as your default ruTorrent skin, so there is nothing to do. If you are on an existing install and want the v2 look, update ruTorrent as an admin, with your admin username: qb update rutorrent -u <username>.
To add it by hand to any other ruTorrent, clone it into ruTorrent's theme directory, usually plugins/theme/themes:
cd /path/to/rutorrent/plugins/theme/themes
git clone -b latest https://github.com/QuickBox/club-QuickBox.git club-QuickBox
chown -R www-data: club-QuickBox
Then set club-QuickBox as the active theme in the ruTorrent theme plugin and reload.
club-QuickBox also speaks your language: it ships in English, Danish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese (Simplified), and it follows the language you pick in ruTorrent's Settings. If you would like to add your own, the translation guide shows you how.
Prefer the v1 look?
If you liked the classic club-QuickBox v1 skin, it is still there and you can switch back to it any time. On QuickBox Pro, do it as root:
cd /srv/rutorrent/plugins/theme/themes/club-QuickBox
git fetch origin v1
git checkout v1
chown -R www-data:www-data .
Then hard-refresh your browser and you are back on v1.
On a manual, non-QuickBox install, clone with -b v1 instead of -b latest into ruTorrent's plugins/theme/themes/.
One thing worth knowing on QuickBox Pro: qb update rutorrent checks the theme back out to latest, so after a ruTorrent update you are on v2 again and will need to repeat the switch.
v1 is frozen from here on and will not receive further updates, because our focus and all the new work is on v2.
