Goodbye, quickbox.io. Everything is on v3 now.

The classic quickbox.io site sails into the rainbow. We moved every remaining account to v3.quickbox.io for you, so there is nothing to migrate. Sign in with the same email and password, grab your new API key from the dashboard, and if you are on a subscription, add a payment method before your access date to keep your price.

Today we say goodbye to the old quickbox.io. The classic site that sold and licensed QuickBox for years sails into the rainbow tomorrow, and we wanted to send it off properly. It carried a lot of you here. Thank you for that.

Here is the good news: we moved every remaining account to v3.quickbox.io for you. There is nothing left to migrate and no window to beat. The one thing left for you is a quick API key swap on each of your servers, covered below.

The rest of this is what to expect when you sign in, plus that one step for your servers.

Sign in with the same email and password

Your account came across exactly as it was. Same email, same password. Go to v3.quickbox.io, sign in with the credentials you have always used, and you are in. No separate registration, no password reset to do first.

If you would rather use Sign in with Discord, that works too, as long as your Discord account uses the same email address as your QuickBox account. If your Discord uses a different email, no problem: sign in with your email and password first, then go to Dashboard > Settings > Connections and click Connect Discord. You can connect or disconnect Discord there at any time, and once it is connected, Sign in with Discord takes you straight to your account.

Put your new API key on each server

When your account moved, your license key moved to the new v3 format too. Your new key starts with qbp_. Your servers still have the old quickbox.io key saved, and the QuickBox update tools (qb update and friends) check for the new format, so until a server has the new key its updates can fail.

Copy your new key from Dashboard > API Keys here on v3.quickbox.io, then set it on each server:

  • ●In your QuickBox dashboard: open System > API Control. In the QuickBox Central section, click Edit credentials, paste the new key into API Key, and click Save.
  • ●Or from the command line: run qb manage api -k qbp_YOUR_NEW_KEY. That swaps the old key out and activates the new one in one step.

Do the same on any new server you set up. Your license, seats, and per-server telemetry are under Dashboard > Licenses.

If you are on a subscription

Two things are worth saying plainly.

Your price did not change. You keep the price you were already paying. The move did not reprice anything.

Set up billing before your access date. Your access on the new platform runs through the date your subscription was already paid through, and never less than two weeks from the day it moved. To keep the subscription going past that date at your current price, add a payment method under Dashboard > Billing before then. If you are on a lifetime key, there is nothing to set up here.

The old site is really gone

The classic login and the dashboard Migration Utility have both been retired, because there is nothing left for them to do. Every account is on v3.quickbox.io, so that is the one place to sign in from now on. If you have the old login bookmarked, it will send you to the new one.

We are around if you need us

If anything looks off when you sign in, or you just want a hand finding your new key or setting up billing, come say hello on Discord. Our staff is there and happy to help. No tickets, no forms.

Thank you for being here through the old site, and welcome fully to v3. The best part of QuickBox was always the people running it. See you on the other side.
